A film about a small village in Moravian Wallachia, Czech Republic, which was due to be torched and razed to the ground, at the very end of World War II.
Winter; the end of January 1945. A group of German soldiers arrives in Loucka, a small village in Moravian Wallachia, Czech Republic, near the Slovak border, with two clear aims: to crush the guerrilla resistance in the Vizovice Highlands, and to control the strategic crossroads at Loucka. They are, however, failing to achieve either of these. After the soldiers are redeployed, the Gestapo from Vizovice and Zlin begin to solve the ‘Partisan Question’ in the area much more radically. On April 19, 1945, a nearby settlement, Plostina, is completely burned down. In three days’ time, Loucka is due to suffer the same treatment…
